1. Come home after being out for most of the afternoon/evening.
2. Find package on doorstep.
3. Shriek like a little girl.
That is basically what happened when I got home about half an hour ago, followed by more shrieking, squeeing, and manga-hugging once said package had been opened. Inside? Haikyuu!! volume 2, the Jump NEXT! 2012 summer issue and Mitsukazu Mihara’s Chijou 10 Meter no Ori kara. I have to say that actually holding these things in my hands has so much more impact than staring at them on a computer screen - even Nuramago 208. I noticed a tiny Tofu Kozo and Natto Kozo in a corner of the opening color spread for the chapter! Going to see if I can try to finish up that and this week’s Assassination Classroom chapter tomorrow, since I’ll have most of the day free.
Oh god, and the full-color Haikyuu!! extra story is so adorable with Tanaka and Nishinoya fighting over the last yakisoba bread at Sakanoshita. The tankobon bonuses for the second volume are more character profiles (Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Takeda, Oikawa, Ennoshita, Kindaichi and Shimizu) as well as an adorable sketch omake of Takeda apologizing to the vice-principal and Suga telling Hinata and Tanaka that they should also be apologizing. I’m actually really surprised that the text for that sketch omake is typeset, instead of handwritten. Maybe that’s commonplace for Furudate-sensei’s omake…? IDK. Also, the author commentary on the cover flap is really cute. Oh, for reference, the first volume has character profiles for Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, Suga and Daichi (I need to finish translating Kageyama’s and post them all), as well as a sketch omake of Hinata and his two junior high friends graduating.
I still want to doodle fanart of Oikawa (Haikyuu!!) hitting on meeting Oikawa (Nuramago), especially since their last names use the same characters. >3>
…I think tomorrow will be like, a massive translation day for me.
