Man, going from translating Haikyuu to Ansatsu to Saiki in one evening is really bizarre. Especially when all three are sports-themed chapters. It’s like… “happy volleyball funtime!!” to “manipulative baseball crazytime” to “dodgeball for dummies”. And then Shiinake no Hitobito completely breaks the chain and it becomes “weird ninja antics”.

(I’d summarize the other series I translate, but I think that list would end up kinda long “orz)

PFFFFT. Shiro’s reading a volume of PSI Kusuo Saiki. I guess that means Matsui-sensei’s a fan?

I love how all these Japanese Haikyuu!! blog posts/threads also have no idea what Kageyama’s saying in 43 when he goes “……….んぬん…” in teeny tiny font so Tsukishima can’t hear him.

That feel when you have to write a 2-paragraph long translation note for a small speech bubble with what only amounts to 8 characters in it (and suddenly, AC gains MASSIVE translation notes).

Japanese mnemonics are so cool and clever. Way better than the likes of “Every Good Boy Does Fine” (English mnemonic for the lines of the treble clef in music), though I’m sad to admit that I still remember it after god knows how many years later. “OTL

Aww, Romi Paku won’t be voicing Giorno again. Maybe it’s due to her recent surgery? Or not, since they’re not using any of Jotaro’s previous seiyuu either.

Just felt the need to post this again.

The most frustrating part of translating:

I read the Japanese, know what it says, understand what it means, but can’t quite put it into English terms so everyone ELSE will know/understand it. So then I end up with a sentence like “for me, the option to abandon you doesn’t exist” and I stare at it like
